This guide explains how to integrate WhatsApp messaging capabilities into AlphaLearn using MSG91 as the WhatsApp provider. The integration allows you to send automated WhatsApp notifications to Trainees.
Prerequisites
Before starting the integration process, ensure you have:
- An active MSG91 account
- A WhatsApp Business account
- Administrator access to your AlphaLearn LMS
Step 1: Initial Setup
- Create an account with MSG91 if you haven’t already
- Set up your WhatsApp Business account through MSG91
Step 2: Configure MSG91 Integration
- Log in to AlphaLearn as an Administrator
- Navigate to Integrations → WhatsApp in the main menu

In the integration settings:
- Select “MSG91” as the Provider
- Enter your Integrated Number (your WhatsApp business number)
- Input your MSG91 Auth Key
- Click Submit to save the configuration
Step 3: Template Management
- Navigate to Customize → WhatsApp Templates
- You’ll see a list of available message templates
- Select a template to view or edit its details
Important Notes:
- Never remove or modify text within curly braces ({{}}). These are dynamic variables that get replaced with actual values when messages are sent.
- Templates can only be submitted for approval once and cannot be edited after submission. Ensure all changes are finalized before submitting.
Step 4: Template Approval Process
- Review your template carefully and click Submit for Approval to send the template for review
- Wait for approval notification via email from MSG91/Meta.
- Once approved, set the template status to Active
Step 5: Testing

Before using in production, test each template:
- Click Send Notification to send a test message
- The test message will be sent to the Administrator’s registered mobile number
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues:
- Verify your MSG91 credentials are correct
- Ensure your WhatsApp Business account is active
- Check if templates are properly approved
